About Me

Born and raised in Phillipsburg, KS, I graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1998. After earning degrees from Fort Hays (Computer Networking) and Wichita State (Sport Administration), I pursued a career in sports including stints with the Wichita State athletics ticket office and the Kansas City Royals group sales department. With eyes on becoming a teacher, I enrolled at Kansas State before being recruited by Smith Center Junior Senior High School to teach mathematics as a Transition to Teaching candidate. After four years, my family and I moved back to Phillipsburg in 2014.

Currently, I teach Geometry and Computer Coding at the high school. I also work as an assistant coach for the high school football and wrestling teams.

My family includes my wife Erin and two children, Evan and Harper. Outside of school I enjoy all things baseball, fishing, reading, music, and technology.
